Parent’s Night Out

WHAT:

Parent Night Out is a cooperative agreement between families affiliated with John Knox Church,

where a safe and fun environment is established for children while parents enjoy a night on the town.

WHEN:

Typically, we meet on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month, from 6:00pm to 10pm.

Current session runs from October through January.

HOW MUCH:

$10 per session (that’s right, for four months) to cover costs of supplies,

plus a few hours of your time participating.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

In four months, there are eight date nights scheduled.  Each couple (single parents are also welcome)

commits to working two nights, while enjoying six nights out, as their children are left in the care of other parents involved with the program.  Every adult participating is required to attend a mandatory orientation and successfully pass a background check.  Children aged one to fourteen are eligible to participate.  Families with babies younger than one year are welcome to join, but must take the infant with them.  Children will participate in nightly games, crafts, snacks and movie times.  Children aged 11 to 14 are trained to be helpers, and obtain special privileges by doing so.  Children older than 14 can be trained to work/get paid!
