Our classrooms are welcoming and safe environments for the young child to enjoy the wonder of discovery. Our teachers are highly qualified, skilled, and passionate about early childhood development and love preschoolers. Neatly tucked into a predictable daily schedule, mornings are packed with new experiences that encourage fine and large motor skill development, spiritual understanding, early literacy, math skills and, most important – friendship skills!
4 Key Developmental Areas:
Spiritual Development
Through songs, prayers, twice monthly interactive chapel services, and Bible stories, children are taught that there is a God who created them and loves them very much! Christmas and Easter are important celebrations as we focus on Jesus, God’s son, who shows us God’s love lived out for all.
Social-EMOTIONAL Development
Teacher interactive ‘free play’ is the platform for helping children learn how to be a good friend. Time is spent helping children to identify and name emotions in themselves and others which encourages empathy; a necessary component for positive social engagement.
Cognitive Development
Learning comes through engaging in theme-based activities focused on beginning math, early literacy, and an exploration of science to make each day exciting. We utilize Handwriting Without Tears and Zoophonics in our Threes and Pre-K classrooms.
pHYSICAL Development
Physical growth and the new abilities a child attains during this age are rapid. Activities that focus on both fine and large motor skills are a part of each day, helping children build muscle strength and dexterity.
